This is the second part of our new PC application. Now we will take a look at the room rental feature. This is a new functionality compared to previous versions. To rent you need in the main window, which we looked at in the last article, click on the “Rent a number” button, which will open a new window for renting. Rent is needed to activate several services and receive SMS.

Let’s take a closer look at the lease window. At the bottom of the window you need to select the period for which you will rent a number. Also next to it there is a table with the available countries on the basis of the selected period. It is important to note that countries are displayed dynamically depending on the rental period. In this case it is better to choose the period first, and then the country. The minimum rental time is 4 hours. After selecting a period and country you will see the rental price above the “Rent” button. The price is in the currency corresponding to the language. If you are satisfied with the price, click on the “Rent” button and you will get a number. Then you can use it to activate any service (available for this country) and receive messages from other numbers to this number.
In order to receive an SMS you need to press “Get SMS” and the text of the message will appear in the central window. Since you can receive multiple messages on one number, they will be separated by a line between them. To receive a new message you need to press “Get SMS” or “Refresh”. Also in the field next to the received SMS you can see the date of purchase and date of expiry of the number. Also there is the request id, which you may need in case of any problems. You can cancel the number by clicking on the red cross in the field “Cancel” opposite to the number.
Terms and conditions of refund in PC application
It is important to remember that if you rent a number, it will not cancel itself if you do not use it. You have the opportunity to get your money back, provided that 20 minutes have not passed since the purchase and you have not received any SMS on it.
Just next to the text message there is a button “Refresh”, which duplicates the functionality of the button “Get SMS” but allows you to not look for a number in the list of purchased.
After the rental period expires you will no longer be able to receive SMS on this number, but all messages received before that time will be saved. To view it, click on the “Expired” button, which, unlike the purchase window, is active.
Profile window
As part of this article, we would also like to highlight the profile window, which is accessible through the “Profile” button from the main application screen. When you click the button, you will see a new window that will show your API-key and your balance in the corresponding language. You can copy your API-key to the clipboard or change it. If you change the API-key, the application will be closed and the history will be cleared. The next time you run it, you will be brought back to the API-key input window. You can refresh the balance in the same window if it is out of date, as well as replenish it in case of lack of funds.
The application requires a constant and stable Internet connection. As well as the presence of an account on the website sms-man.com. In your personal cabinet you can get API-key to work with the application. The application is fresh and you can influence the direction of its development with feedback. The list of services already contains over 3,000 items, but will be updated with the next versions. In case the service you’re interested in is not available or there is an error “No numbers.
